"A Pianist's Landscape"

Carol Montparker, pianist and the author of four books on music, will present a talk, with some musical offerings, and a book signing at the new Steinway center in Melville. Ms. Montparker, a Steinway Artist, will examine the ways we can create a beautiful environment (or "landscape") in which to teach and practice; to surround ourselves with inspiring stimuli: the other arts, nature, pianos-as-comforting-souls, all allowing our spirits to flourish. Ms. Montparker will also relate some anecdotes from her interviews of world-famous artists as Senior Editor of Clavier magazine for twenty years, as well as her own tales from studio and stage.
